VAN STADEN, CHRISTO

A few times in my life I have come across something – sometimes a book, sometimes a technique, sometimes an insight – that made me shiver with excitement because it was so right ... such a natural progression of where my creative impulses have been going. Such an event was meeting Biodanza. For me Biodanza is liberation through movement – liberation from past and future so that I can exist in the present, liberation from presumptions and assumptions so that the truth of being can shine, so that I can assume utter responsibility for my life. I dance with the children of my daughter's school (about 30 three-to-five year olds) – they are real teachers! I have seen in this group how quickly Biodanza can transform relative chaos (including apathy, apprehension, fear) into a cooperative organism. (I have seen great forces of chaos at work!) I am working with a team of friends (Annalie, Leon, Willem, Suzan, Tahnia, Kate) towards a comprehensive corporate Biodanza offering, aimed at integrating and developing organisations through movement. Our vision is encapsulated in the words of Rumi: "Let the beauty we love be what we do".
